Meet & Move - Free Physical Activity Taster Event
Looking for a fun way to get moving, try something new and meet people in your local community?
Come along to Active in the Community’s Staying Active, Staying Connected event at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, delivered in partnership with Leisure Solutions Community Trust and Buckinghamshire Public Health.
This free physical activity taster event is aimed at people aged 50+ and is all about discovering enjoyable ways to stay active, support your health and wellbeing, and connect with others in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Come along and give something new a go
Not sure which activity is right for you? This is the perfect chance to try a few different options and see what you enjoy.
There’ll be a whole host of taster sessions to get involved with, including:
Tai Chi
Seated Exercise
Walking Sports
Group Walks
Pickleball
And plenty more!
Whether you’re already active or haven’t exercised in a while, all abilities are welcome and no previous experience is needed. Our friendly sessions are designed to help you feel comfortable, have fun and find activities that work for you.
More than just exercise
Staying active is a great way to look after your health, but it can also be a brilliant opportunity to meet new people and feel more connected to your community.
Alongside the activity sessions, you’ll be able to explore a marketplace of local stalls and find out more about what’s available in your area. There’ll also be free blood pressure checks available on the day.
And, of course, there’ll be tea, coffee and biscuits to enjoy too!

Parking: Free parking is available on site
The event is designed with people aged 50+ in mind, but everyone is welcome to come along and join in.
There’s no need to bring anything complicated — just yourself, some comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle.
So, why not come along, try something new and discover what’s happening in your local community? You might even find your new favourite activity!
